The PPGard BD502 People Bed Detection Sensor Solution features an elderly-friendly design with no cumbersome wearable devices needed. Thanks to the latest mmWave sensing technology, it offers non-intrusive wireless detection without capturing images of people in the detection area. Additionally, the solution provides message indications to caretakers about whether the person is lying in bed, sitting on the bed, standing beside the bed, or away from the bed, helping determine the type of assistance required. This comprehensive Bed Behavior monitoring assures families and caretakers that their loved ones are protected with peace of mind.

Fall Detection Sensing (FDS)

For wireless sensing of people-fall-detection along with people movement & tracking in 3-Dimensional region covering 6m x 6m area without privacy invasion. The sensed people behavior data are with Position X/Y/Z, Velocity X/Y/Z, and Acceleration X/Y/Z parameters suitable for people movement analysis such as standing, sitting, lying down or falling down positions.

 

Installation Instructions

  • Mount the PPGard BD502 sensor on a wall or a fixed stable stand, aiming it at the desired bed detection area.
  • Connect an USB-C cable to PPGard BD502 sensor and your edge computer.
  • Run the accompanying software for AI computing and analysis of people behavior in relation to bed detection area.
  • Optionally, set up a local MQTT Server to send person’s bed behavior messages to remote recipients via Internet access on a computer or smartphone.
